Rasoul Ameli Najafabadi

 

Rasoul Ameli is a PhD researcher who studies the theory and practice of architectural design in Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC). His research explores the contextual architecture in aspect of modernity and tradition interaction and project-based studies regionalism in practical reality. Rasoul past work has examined the emergence and forming of architecture from beginning to birth of cities in prehistoric Iran. His research interests fall in Contextual architecture, Historical and cultural heritages, Regionalism, Team X, Architectural Anthropology, Urban restoration,

 

He is member and researcher in GIRAS, International Group of Research in Architecture and Society, board member and editorial manager in Arquitectonics; Mind, Land and Society magazine, Assistance Professor and executive manager of Arquitectonics network International conference.

 

He has a Master of Architectural design from Barcelona school of architecture, ETSAB, and another Master degrees in architectural studies from Art University of Isfahan, Iran.

 

Rasoul has experience in professional design and management having worked as an architect, planner and project manager at TTBP consulting engineering on national and international projects like as metro stations, airport, residential complexes and sport stadiums, and later has drove several architectural projects in his own office or in collaboration.
